Not a book; more like a brochure

Thirty-four sparse pages, of which half is filler. There is absolutely nothing in this book that you can't find for free on the web. What a waste of money. If I could give it zero stars, I would. The fact that they charge $25 for it is really ridiculous. And there are grammatical errors, too!
Simple to read and Simple to use !!

The book guided me step by step with my modification. Saved me money and made my payments manageable. I don't know if i could of done it on my own.

very short, you'd think it'd be more than 17 pages of pure nothing. don't waste your time

The book is more like a 28 page brochure, very straight forward. The information that was contained in it, was the same information that we got (telephonically) for free from a HUD housing counselor. It's target homeowners are the ones that are facing foreclosure or have experienced some hardship causing the eventual lost of the home. We were not in that situation and thus wouldn't write a hardship letter (indicated as an important factor to be considered by the mortage company).

We recommend it only if your reliance on compelling advertisement out weighs one's trust in and ability to converse with a HUD housing official or organizations like NACA.
The best help i could find

This booklet is so straightforward and uses regular language to explain everything. The examples are excellent and very useful to my own situation. It gave me what I needed to talk to the banks and other firms and ended up saving a lot.
