You would think this year’s Mortgage Bankers Association annual meeting would be a rather solemn affair — given the criticism the industry has endured in recent months. But our ANP reporter attending the meeting found the bankers in a celebratory mood. The reason? A massive lobbying campaign against bankruptcy reform legislation known as “cram-down” appeared to be working.

This vid is reflecting these mortgage bankers in their natural smug state of getting over on people and using political influence to navigate through congress. No matter how many people are losing their homes and choking on debt. YES I judge that is WRONG.

Jesus went crazy mad at the money changers (bankers) in front of the temple - why? Because they were using the guise of the temple as their cover to help others while they were ripping people off. Maybe he was just pissed off…

Thanks for telling us all what a decent person you are (I am sure you are) we all want to be good people. “For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you…” I think Jesus said that, Every industry has bad actors, and in time we all pay the price for our deeds, both good and bad, I sleep great every night.

BTW, everyone (liberals and conservatives) loved subprime lending because it flooded the markets with massive money, and created the housing boom…then it all went boom-boom. Wall street lit the match, Hedgefunds fanned the flames and Lenders poured gas on it.

  • jwilldoutube says:

    I see your point.

Although, no sympathy here…I am a recovering banker. I am judging because perspective and experience with their kind.

Gave myself permission to be a decent human - instead of a paycheck, and turned my back on that Hell of an industry for good in ‘04. I worked with all of the demonic jerks, too - Greed, Justification, Arrogance, etc. Looks like all of the usuals suspects are still making their appearances.

  • Axelrudolph says:

She gets cursed for turning the loan down and goes to hell. If she approved the loan, she gets cursed by all of the liberals for facilitating subprime lending, wonder which is worse? You know, just saying….damned if you do and damned if you don’t…

  • jwilldoutube says:

    Hey Smug Bankers, FYI -
the new horror movie ‘Drag Me To Hell’ is about a bank loan officer that refuses an extension to a woman’s mortgage. She does this to show her own boss that she is ready to make the tough calls and is worthy of a promotion that she is competing for. The banker gets cursed by the homeowner and is tortured by a demon for 3 days before her soul is to be sent to hell for eternity.

    (I’m just sayin… ya, know…)

  • Axelrudolph says:

To all of you haters out there: “You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. “

  • quitearow says:

damn right this fight is coming back you fucking whore.

  • VoxApox says:

Hahahaha, you guys are just so funny and such a great asset to our country. Somebody should have fire-bombed that place. Bankers are the most vile scum going.

As for Senator Durbin, this is a smoke-screen. Durbin is a bloated museum of treachery. Durbin has taken an OBSCENE amount of money from AIPAC and other Israeli interests, making Durbin a complete tool of Israel and a traitor to America.

Ahhh, nothing like a good dinner and pep talk before an important day of kissing ass up on the hill!

axelrudolph…the 96 percent of people that ARE making their payments will be going down within the next 3 years when their ALT-A loans start adjusting in 2011, 2012. That will be the next round of foreclosures.

  • BenjaminLaird says:

yes he does, everyone was boasting that when he was elected he was debt free, his campaign was completely paid for by other people, & when they give to him, they’re gonna want a lot back.

brand obama: bought & paid for by anything other than the american public

  • Tintube123 says:

Obama OWES so many people his victory, AnnenJosh. He owes the Zionist Lobby, he owes folks in the CFR/Bilderburg/Trilateral Commission, with all it’s contacts (including the Rockfellers and other powerful families). Lastly, take a look at the biggest contributors to his campaign: Wall Street.

    He owes THEM.

You’re gonna find that Obama will be Mr Status Quo, and be perceived as week, cos he owes so many powerful people.

    Shame, but true.

  • gondor124 says:

These “folks” are a cancer on our country and need to be removed before they metastasize and kill the folks providing a home for them….that would be us. We have seen the enemy and it is these creeps. We bailed them out and they are stabbing us in the back with money extorted from the taxpayer. That would be us.

  • AnnenJosh says:

The real problem is that Obama promised to get this bill passed. There is footage of it here on You Tube. Durbin said the White house was silent when he needed help to get the bill passed. They knew the bill was being defeated from bank lobbyists and yet nothing was done…Why?

  • kesmarn says:

AmericanNewsProject, thanks for getting this out there–even though it’s pretty nauseating to watch. These “trade associations” as they call themselves are the same people who villainize unions and union members among the working class.

  • kesmarn says:

The bankers won this round. It was defeated.

  • jwilldoutube says:

A point is FIDUCIARY DUTY - FIDUCIARY RESPONSIBLITY. You cannot just summarily offer mortgage documents to a group of people and say, “Hey, sign these…ya know, ya gotta pay us later…sign here, and here…blah, blah, blah…” There is a real obligation in financial matters that regard the knowledge of a bank and their representatives that are held to a higher standard of knowing what is a proper or an appropriate risk. Not just left up to the individual signing.

  • Communist2012 says:

    Fucking bankers

  • jwilldoutube says:

Money is NOT the issue… having money, making money, etc. MONEY IS NOT EVIL. It is not unethical to be successful.

THE PROBLEM is that people (these bankers) JUSTIFY their immoral actions or lack of ethical action in their fears of holding onto money, and/or continuing to make money in a corrupt and morally illegal manner.

At least Marie A. offered to “let them eat cake”…These Wiseguys just want us to eat dirt!

  • SavannahsRUs says:

All these criminals ought to be to executed. Slowly…

  • Schizophaith says:
